Sydney Robinson

Sydney Robinson is the co-founder of Vessl Prosthetics Inc., a company that has developed an innovative socket system to improve the comfort and fit of prosthetic limbs for amputees. Robinson, along with co-founder Oleksiy Zaika, was inspired to create the technology after seeing the difficulties that amputees faced with their prosthetics. The Vessl socket system passively adjusts to changes in limb volume, reducing pain and discomfort caused by ill-fitting prosthesis. The technology aims to save clinical costs and empower amputees to regain their health and well-being. Sydney has a research and clinical background in anatomy, medicine, and biomedical engineering, with a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Western University. With approximately 1.4 million people in the United States alone living with a leg amputated below the knee, Vessl’s innovation has the potential to improve the lives of many amputees worldwide and disrupt the $6 billion USD global market for prosthetics and orthotics.
