Teyotsihstokwáthe Dakota Brant is the co-founder of Sapling & Flint, a CCAB Certified Aboriginal Business selling jewelry and accessories. Operating entirely within Six Nations of the Grand River territory, the company supports the local Indigenous economy, working with Indigenous and Canadian suppliers in the manufacturing process. The company was co-founded by Teyotsihstokwáthe and her sister after they started raising families of their own and realized the value of immersing their children in their culture. Sapling & Flint’s designs are meant to spark conversation and share the story of Turtle Island. The company operates via e-commerce, in an established storefront, and wholesale to retailers.
