Zita Dube-Lockhart

Zita Dube-Lockhart is the co-founder of Generate Fitness, an inclusive fitness studio based in Edmonton, Alberta. After giving birth to her son, who was diagnosed with autism at age 3, Zita began to understand her own neurodiversity as well. Zita reconnected with the joy of movement and earned a Personal Fitness Trainer diploma, got involved with Autism Edmonton, and created a fitness program for autistic children and their caregivers. She opened Generate Fitness in 2018, catering to marginalized people including those with low incomes, disabilities, chronic illnesses, and the queer community. Her goal is to provide a safe space for fitness and emotional release.
