Ashley Freeborn

Like many other entrepreneurs, starting her own business wasn’t part of Ashley’s original plan. While working as a corporate trainer in the finance sector, she noticed a gap in Canada’s loungewear market. Not intending to quit her 9-5, Ashley took Conde Nast’s summer fashion program and founded Smash+Tess, a loungewear line built for comfort regardless of shape or size. While the company is targeted to women, Smash+Tess also sells their signature garment, the loungewear romper, in men and children’s sizes.
