Ashley Schmalenberg is the founder and CEO of Saltine Baking Company, a bakery located in Regina, SK. After working as a cook and baker in local food establishments, Ashley began Saltine as a home-based business, selling her products at local farmers markets and to restaurants in the community. Demand grew for her bread and pastries, and in 2018 she opened a storefront bakery alongside her small team. Ashley’s bakery focuses on savoury items, offering a variety of artisan breads, scones, and pastries. She has continued operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by offering pre-orders and curbside pickup to the community, who are hungry for more of her products.
