While launching her career as a freelance virtual assistant, Bobbie Racette encountered a key challenge with existing virtual assistant platforms: clients required cost-effective administrative services, but the international contractors didn’t have the experience required by local companies. Bobbie founded The Virtual Gurus as a solution: her platform provided training to ensure that contractors had the necessary skill set for employers while also using algorithms to match clients to an ideal, trained assistant. A Cree- Métis woman, Bobbie prides herself on creating positive social impact in the indigenous community by providing employment opportunities to individuals who live in remote areas.
