After working in tech for 20 years, Connie founded Growing Greener Innovations after a noisy generator at a construction site threatened to wake her napping infant twins. She developed a patented lithium ion battery-powered generator called the Grengine, which is not only emission-free and lightweight – it’s also silent in contrast to combustion-engine generators. The innovation is in high demand in rural areas where the power grid is inaccessible, and also within residential areas as a greener, cost-saving power source. There is strong interest in Mexico and the Middle East, where the energy grid is unreliable or insufficient.
