Emilie Cushman

In 2012, Emilie co-founded Kira Talent, a holistic admissions assessment platform for postsecondary institutions. Kira was developed as an alternative to paper-only applications which exclude otherwise talented students from admissions. The cloud-based platform allows for customized, timed assessments via video and written submissions and allows for responses to be ranked within the platform by admissions officials. Emilie was named to Forbes 30 under 30 list for Education in 2019, and attracted $5 million in a series A funding round in 2016.
