Janelle Bell

Janelle Bell is the founder of QALI, a hair extensions brand headquartered in Vancouver. Qali derives its name from Qalipu M’ikmaq, the First Nation band of which Janelle is a proud member. The name is also a nod to the long, flowing, beachy waves that are typically associated with “Cali-girl hair.” Janelle launched the company in 2018 after she started using hair extensions herself. QALI offers premium hair extensions that are ethically sourced and semi-permanent. Janelle earned a Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University. In 2021, her company was a semi-finalist in the British Columbia Pow Wow Pitch.
