Jess Sternberg

Jess Sternberg, founder of Free Label Clothing, had minimal technical sewing or design skills before starting her brand. Today Sternberg has grown Free Label Clothing to surpass its revenue every year, passing the $500,000 mark in 2019. The company’s fabrics are custom produced in Toronto, with their factory partners no more than a ten-minute drive away from Free Label’s Vancouver office. In the future, Sternberg hopes to continue to evolve her brand and foster a better second-hand market. The brand’s active Facebook group currently allows members to buy, sell, and trade garments. Sternberg is a renowned sustainable fashion advocate who in 2020 was featured on BC Business’s 30 Under 30 list.
