Karen Schuett

Karen Schuett is the co-founder and CEO of Livestock Water Recycling (LWR), a global manufacturer of manure treatment systems that help farmers reduce their costs and restore the health of the farming ecosystem. With her technology, LWR digitizes and transforms manure into clean water, carbon and nutrient-based fertilizers, and biogas feedstock, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, odor complaints, water losses, and nutrient runoff. Karen’s system has received patents in several countries, including Canada, New Zealand, Russia, the EU, and the USA, and is expected to help food producers recycle one trillion gallons of manure by 2030. Karen holds a degree in zoology from the University of Calgary and has over 25 years of experience in wastewater management. She is a recipient of the Forbes Innovation Icon Award and has been recognized for her contributions to the agricultural industry.
