Karla Briones

Karla Briones works with underrepresented entrepreneurs in her business, Karla Briones Consulting. Recognized by Canadian Immigrant Magazine as one of Canada’s Top 25 Immigrants of 2022, Karla is a first-generation Mexican-Canadian immigrant who aims to support other entrepreneurs in her position. She is committed to facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion in Canadian business, particularly for racialized people, women, and immigrant entrepreneurs. In addition to Karla Briones Consulting, she also launched the Immigrants Developing Entrepreneurs Academy (IDEA) in 2021, which is an online networking platform for immigrant entrepreneurs who want to learn more about business in Canada. She is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University.
