Katie Cyr is the owner of Monarch Tea Co., a loose leaf tea company based in Hamilton, Ontario. According to Katie, her vision is to bring a modern twist to the traditional eloquence of tea. She founded the business in 2014. Since then, Monarch Tea Co. has been curating and creating unique tea blends. They have also run corporate tea workshops for major companies like Google, Facebook, and Loblaws. Katie is a trained Tea Sommelier. She earned her certificate at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. She draws her inspiration from her grandmother, who introduced her to tea. In 2022, the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce honoured Katie with their annual award for Young Entrepreneur, Under 40.
