Luanne Ronquillo

Luanne Ronquillo is the founder of Ruru Baked, a small batch custard-based ice cream producer in Toronto. Ruru Baked creates Asian-inspired flavours with no preservatives, and they use sustainable packaging. Luanne holds a Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. She founded Ruru Baked in 2017 as a side hustle while working as a partner at a social media agency. However, Ruru Baked’s popularity greatly increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, Luanne is working full-time to expand the business. Ruru Baked has plans to expand into the Greater Toronto Area and they have collaborated with major partners like Adidas and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The business also engages in philanthropy, donating unclaimed pints to local community fridges.
