Rebecca Tran

Rebecca Tran is the co-founder of The Station Food Hub, a food rescue organization in Newport, Nova Scotia. The Station Food Hub is a purpose-driven social enterprise that provides quality food products for Nova Scotians by using under-utilized produce and increasing the amount of locally sourced food served at regional institutions. Sustainability and health are at the core of The Station Food Hub’s values. In 2022, the organization was chosen as a finalist in Impact Canada’s Food Waste Reduction Challenge (Business Models Streams). Rebecca co-founded The Station Food Hub with Heather Lunan in 2019. She is a registered dietitian with a career that spans over 17 years. She holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of British Columbia, and her expertise is in community food security and the food system.
