Starr Halka-Glazier

Starr Halka-Glazier is a Mi’gmaq artist living in Pabineau First Nation, New Brunswick. She owns Kloqowej Designs, where she sells handmade wooden crafts and decor. Starr has always been involved in her culture and community, participating in pow wows and becoming a Kairos Blanket Exercise facilitator. She developed an interest in woodwork five years ago, which turned into a business during the COVID-19 pandemic when she was inspired to combine her passion for woodwork with her Indigenous culture. Now, Kloqowej Designs operates an online shop, which can be found in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory.
