Tammy Beese

Tammy is the founder of What’s Up Yukon, a free local newspaper and website. The company promotes local events, arts, restaurants and features an online business directory. Tammy provides employment to 13 staff and offers paid freelance writing gigs to local writers who cover local news and profile community members. Tammy is a proud member of her community and seeks to share the Yukon’s stories with tourists, new community members, and keeps longtime residents connected. Tammy’s work has been recognized locally by the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce and nationally by Startup Canada and Chatelaine Magazine.
