Tanzina-Huq-2

Tanzina Huq

Tanzina began studying polymers at the University of Dhaka with an interest in protecting the environment due to rampant plastic waste in Bangladesh. Her studies led her to working in nanotechnology and microbiology to replace plastics with natural fibres. She has applied her interests to Chinova Bioworks, using chitosan, deriving from mushrooms, to reduce food and beverage waste with a healthier natural preservative. With their first patent filed and continuing research and development, they hope to soon expand to the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries as well.
