Vander Meulen

Shannon Vander Meulen is the Co-Founder and CMO of WaitWell, a queue and line management software that she created to improve the customer experience. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Shannon noticed that the line-up situation outside her registry, where she worked, was not the customer experience she wanted and decided to create software that would allow customers to join the lineup queue without being physically in line. Despite not having any previous background in tech or coding, Shannon created this product from scratch, with some help. The software launched in beta and quickly grew in usage, with numerous customers across Calgary, including other registries, NAIT, the University of Manitoba, and the Calgary Stampede. Shannon is the recipient of the 2021 MNP Innovation Award recognized by the Small Business Calgary Awards.
