Vanessa Viau

Vanessa Viau is a young business owner who co-founded Kyan Cuisine, a food delivery service that offers delicious plant-based meals. Based in the town of Embrun, Ontario, Kyan Cuisine is on a mission to promote healthy eating. The business was founded by three elementary school friends: Aude Martel, Vanessa Viau, and Samuel Doucet. Aude and Vanessa came up with the idea for Kyan Cuisine after they stopped eating meat, and realized that there were few options for plant-based meals in their area. Since the summer of 2018, the three founders have been testing new recipes and selling them through e-commerce. The business has found substantial success, winning the FCCQ’s (Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec) Prix du commerce Ontario-Québec en francophonie in 2021.
