ICYMI: WES Ecosystem Fund Information Session

On July 28, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, announced a new call for proposals for projects under the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy Ecosystem Fund.

Under this new second call, $40 million is allocated to support projects that will provide business support for women entrepreneurs and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Canada.

This funding will provide an opportunity to further strengthen relationships between organizations within the entrepreneurship ecosystem; deliver supports that will contribute to business development and growth; and will prioritize support for activities in areas of strength for women entrepreneurs (including in the care economy, and the retail and service sectors) as well as for projects which provide services to women entrepreneurs in rural and remote areas or the North.

To answer questions about the call for proposals and the application process, the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) hosted an information webinar in collaboration with Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

If you weren’t able to join the session live, you can watch the replay here. Transcripts and subtitles are available in English and in French.
