Heather Lunan is the co-founder of The Station Food Hub, a food rescue organization in Newport, Nova Scotia. The Station Food Hub is a purpose-driven social enterprise that provides quality food products for Nova Scotians by using under-utilized produce and increasing the amount of locally sourced food served at regional institutions. Sustainability and health are at the core of their organization’s values. In 2022, The Station Food Hub was chosen as a finalist in Impact Canada’s Food Waste Reduction Challenge (Business Models Streams). Heather is originally from Montréal, where she developed a curiosity for food culture. She co-founded The Station Food Hub in 2019 with dietitian Rebecca Tran. She is also the co-owner of Pie R Squared, a small pie shop in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
