Sydney Koby

Sydney Koby built her first company, Bite Snacks Nutrition, from the ground up with no external funding. Koby came up with the idea for Bite Snacks – protein bars and powders sourced entirely from crickets – as a way to introduce a more sustainable protein option to North American consumers. Since its launch, sales have exploded online through the website and Amazon.ca. Bite Snacks is also made available through small natural food stores and retail outlets such as HomeSense and Winners. Before founding her own company, Koby gained experience working multiple roles in data management, engineering, and food retail. In 2020, Koby was featured on the 30 Under 30 list by BC Business.
